Acupuncture (TCM)

  • Acupuncture
    - a Traditional Chinese Medical treatment. Based on the observation, pulse palpation, and asking questions, the acupuncturist collects the information from the patient, diagnoses and treats the condition(s) through needles on acu-points. There are 14 general meridians, and more than 400 acu-points in our body. They connect from the surface skin to the deep internal organs. By inserting the short and fine needles on acu-points, the acupuncturist can stimulate body’s self-healing system, and adjust the whole body’s Qi and blood flow. Acupuncturists can also apply acupressure and flame cupping when needed for more acute and/or long term health issues.
  • Flame Cupping
    - Includes moving and stationary cupping applied by a Registered Acupuncturist. It moves blood and Qi to heal a variety of different ailments. The acupuncturist applies a burning piece of cotton or alcohol swab inside of a glass cup before applying the cup to the patient’s skin. This creates suction. This treatment can effectively relieve pain in upper/lower back, shoulders and legs. Exposure to wind, cold or touch of water should be avoided within the 6 hours after treatment. Cupping with silicone cups treated by an RMT is also available in our office.
  • Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
    - It can help with fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration, age spots, sagging skin, droopy eyelids, double chin, eye bags, dark circles, uneven skin texture and skin tone. - The initial course includes ten sessions. - Apart from a face cleansing, exfoliation, customized herbal mask and hydration, the essential step in this treatment involves the insertion of very fine, hair-like needles into the face and body to increase the blood flow, cell repairment, delivery of oxygen, fluid and nutrient to the area and collagen production.
